Education and Training
Rita Hernandez, MA, LPC-S follows a developmental supervision model.
Associates are offered individual, triadic and group supervision.
During supervised experience LPC-Associates have the opportunity to:
Stay informed of changes in Texas State Board of Examiners for Professional Counselors and Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC).
Receive supervision according to your interests, skills set and professional goals.
Establish a professional network of colleagues and support.
Explore limits and overcome challenges.
Receive a supervision experience that will help with navigating the rules, ethical responsibilities and complex issues that cannot be taught in a graduate program. Hence the 3000 hr requirement.
Potential Associates must:
Schedule an initial consultation.
Receive and invitation for a full interview.
Provide letter of reference from graduate internship supervisor.
If transferring from another LPC-S, provide a release to discuss development and competencies.
Upon receiving a signed Supervised Agreement Form potential Associates must:
Secure liability insurance.
Commit to 4hrs of supervision each month.
Sign a Supervision Contract.
Accepting new Associates September 2022.
